SE of Denver, CO: Sci Fi: non-cartoonish shared storytelling style TTRPGing

Seeking players SE of Denver who are mature (preferably retired), progressive, pro-science, non-imbibers, non-smokers, who prefer quiet venues for Science Fiction TTRPGing of the shared, realism-based (not cartoonish) storytelling variety, using:

Star Trek Adventures: Captain’s Log (game made for solo play, which means with participatory players no GM is needed)
or
Ironsworn: Starforged (ditto!)

While co-GMing doesn’t work with games designed to be GMd, it works well with these, as long as participants are into shared storytelling and bring something to the table other than dice and a thirst for action movie antics.

With Trek, you should know the Trek world – we’re not using this game to play in a non-Trek universe. With Starforged, we frame the world first.

I prefer games where players could die if they make stupid decisions, neither having nor relying on PC immunity, but not GM vs PC (we won’t have a GM anyway). All it takes is some agreed upon forethought for what happens if stupid decisions are made and a PC dies. Since we’ll be doing shared storytelling, this is extremely unlikely, but dispensing with immunity makes for a game with stakes and therefore deeper investment and payback.

I know that’s a lot of parameters, but every experienced TTRPGer knows that compatibility is key!

When We Play

This is to be worked out by the participants. Retirees might have more freedom to schedule.

Table Size

I suspect a good group size would be 4 players. This could probably be done with 5 or 3 if everyone is truly on the same frequency.

PM me if interested. We’ll meet at a public place after we have several interested players who like these parameters. We can have sessions in libraries or whatnot.
