I had, had, a set of the beyond crappy dice that came with the White Box set. Had. I think they auto destructed.
Not impossible actually… The ancient dice of the D&D 1E era, those tiny ones with the sharp corners and numbers you had to fill in yourself were made of a super cheap plastic which did crumble over time.
There wewre cheap dice, and then there was the white box set, that seemed made of soap. I rounded off the d20 in two months. I ended up trading that one and a two year old Game Science die to Lou Zacci, for new two color Game Sciecne d20. He wanted them to show the difference.
Laughed a little too hard at this.
Parenthood will do that to you.
