AI friendly testers?

Hey all, its been forever and im finally getting some free time to focus on gaming again. Im working on an AI tool that…

this was originally a post looking for “ai friendly testers” but instead the post was derailed by senior members who’s opinions I’ve respected for years even when i disagreed.

Goodbye.

Have I mentioned I would ranter eat rocks? Make something your self instead of working so hard to avoid work.

You may have written your rulebook but the AI model includes a lot of other works. Likely those works were included without permission.

Getting a rulebook in 15-20 minutes doesn’t even really help as you need to read it. You have it generate different text for “Safety Tools” . Why? Couldn’t that be the exactly the same. Also true of “What is an RPG?” Quick glace leads to the quality I would expect. “Adventurers find themselves in a large, circular stone room” and “low hum of the ‘walls closing in’ magic”. Magic hums? Circular stone room with walls closing in? ‘Walls closing in’ magic? Not really a phrasing a writer would create.

There are plenty of RPGs that can be quickly tailored to a setting you want to play. I don’t think an AI generated rulebook is the way to go even if you didn’t have the copyright issue and quality issue of AI.

These hijackers and naysayers are what keep me away for stretches at a time. Curmudgeons MIGHT be wise in years, but prove to be foolish in their words and practices. They know how to keep people down maybe thinking they’re doing the world a favor because they know better. You’d think they’d know better than to attack those who are trying and when to hold their tongues. When to recognize there is fun in this medium and not just in their strict interpretations of it.

Books used to be thought of a evil. Their excuse: “Why would anyone need to learn anything if it were written in a book? They could open the book, and the knowledge would be right there. No effort on their part. That’s cheating!

So, admin, if you need to delete my account, I’m okay with that, too.

“hijakers and naysayers”? I felt I gave a thoughtful reply based on looking at the sample material. In fact my initial thought was to disregard the project but decided to give it a fair shot. Disregarding my comments on copyright issues, Teagus didn’t respond to my other comments.

Even if you are an AI fan, you should ask for quality output. You should ask how does this make a better game than a generic rpg with a setting book. It’s a neat trick to generate a “tailored rpg” in minutes but you need a quality product to make people interested in it.
